Oxford’s Uptown businesses filled trick-or-treaters’ pumpkin pails and tote bags with goodies and toys as they walked the sidewalks on the evening of Oct. 29 ahead of Halloween night.

Families made their way to Uptown Parks and stepped through a large inflatable jack-o’lantern where a hoard of games, inflatable courses, slides and other activities awaited, courtesy of Oxford Parks and Recreation. They could also enter their beasts in a pet costume contest.

The celebration was followed by the Oxford Lions Club 77th annual Halloween Parade, where children had a chance to show off their costumes, guided by the Talawanda High School Marching Band.
