Holiday Fest kicks off the winter season in Oxford

Oxford kicked off the holiday season as crowds packed the Oxford Community Arts Center (OCAC) and the Uptown Parks with festive activities, performances and a special appearance by Santa Claus during Holiday Fest on Saturday, Dec. 6.

The festivities began at the OCAC with snacks, activities, local artisan goods and performances by Flowing Grace School of Dance.

After the events at the OCAC, the Uptown Parks began to light up. Here, the Miami University Dance Corps performed for eventgoers.

The Uptown Parks festivities featured a mechanical reindeer and snowboarding, and horse-drawn carriage rides.

Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus made an appearance during the evening at the Uptown Parks, meeting with mayor Mike Smith to turn on the holiday lights around the city.

A performance from Natalie Michael & Soul Kin Band concluded the evening’s events.
