Miami Cross Country begins season with RedHawk Rumble
Miami University's cross country team opened the season at the RedHawk Rumble on September 4, with both teams taking titles.
The Miami University cross country team opened the season with the 2026 RedHawk Rumble on Sept. 4. With early morning temperatures reaching into the low 80s, the RedHawks hosted Dayton and Cincinnati in both men’s and women’s races.
Redhawk freshman Morgan Dick took the top spot in the women’s 5K race as Miami swept the podium. Sophomore Marisa Heil placed second, followed by senior Cara Razavi.
In the men’s 6K race, Evan Jarold led Miami with a third place finish. Ishak Mekideche finished just behind him in fourth. Luke Mussaard finished 10th overall.
Both Miami squads took team titles.
