Miami football kicks off the season with community
The Miami University football program hosted its annual Kickoff With the Community event on Aug. 22, with the RedHawks season opener set for Sept, 5.
The event gave fans a chance to see the RedHawks in action on the Yager Stadium field, watch a practice session and intrasquad scrimmage from the sidelines and meet with players and coaches afterward.
Young fans in attendance were able to participate in the RedHawks’ warm-up drills. Food, games and other activities were also provided.
Miami will open the 2026 season on the road against the University of Pittsburgh on Sept. 5. They will take on Holy Cross on the following Saturday, Sept. 12, in the RedHawks’ first home game.
