Multiple harassment, underage drinking reports in first full week of September
Multiple harassment and underage drinking reports were taken by the Oxford Police Department (OPD) during the first full week of September.

Just before 12:45 a.m. Sept. 1, officers responded to a passed out individual on North Beech Street, according to the department’s media report. The individual was transported to the hospital and issued summonses.
Later that day around 11:20 a.m., officers responded to a harassment report on East Chestnut Street, according to the media report. While on scene, officers learned that the victim had a protection order against the male who showed up at her residence. The media report stated that service of the victim’s protection order had not been confirmed. The case is still being investigated, according to the media report.
At 9:37 a.m. Sept. 2, an officer spoke with two roommates regarding an argument from the previous night, according to the media report.
At 3:57 p.m. Sept. 2, an officer spoke with a complainant in the Oxford Police Department (OPD) lobby regarding an incident that occurred on Friday, Aug. 29, according to the media report. No other information was provided.
At 7:50 p.m. that same day, a scooter was reported stolen near East Walnut Street, according to the media report. There are no suspects at this time.
Just after 4:01 a.m. Sept. 3, a victim reported that a known male subject left a note for her, despite an active restraining order, according to the media report. An investigation is ongoing.
At 11:02 a.m. Sept. 3, an individual visited the OPD to report an item stolen from his vehicle, as well as damage to the vehicle.
On Sept. 4 at 3:50 a.m., a female victim under a protection order reported a male subject prohibited from making contact attempted to call her twice.
Just after 11:18 a.m. Sept. 4, an officer met with an assistant store manager at 300 S. Locust St. who informed the officer that one of her employees was being threatened by physical harm by an individual who fled the store prior to the officer’s arrival, according to the media report.
At 5:36 p.m. that same day, Walmart management reported a concerning comment from a former employee, according to the media report.
On Sept. 5 around 9:48 a.m., officers arrested a suspect after she showed up to the victim’s residence threatening the victim with a knife, according to the media report. The suspect was transported to the Butler County Jail.
At 10:21 p.m. that same day, officers and EMS were dispatched to University Avenue to respond to an intoxicated underage individual who was vomiting, according to the media report.
On Sept. 6 around 5:32 p.m., officers responded to a report of a male individual who had passed out, according to the media report. The individual was issued a citation.
At 10:31 p.m., officers received a report of a female clerk who had sold alcoholic beverages to an underage person, according to the media report. The clerk was cited and released.
One minute later, officers cited and released a male clerk for selling alcoholic beverages to an underage person, according to the media report.
At 11:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to respond to a report at 110 N. Poplar St. of a patient punching a pregnant nurse, according to the media report.
On Sept. 7 around 12:46 a.m., officers cited a passed out underage male and transported him to the hospital, according to the media report.
At 1:10 a.m., officers responded to a passed out male on East Church Street, according to the media report. The underage individual was heavily intoxicated and transported to the hospital, where he was issued citations, according to the media report.
At 1:16 a.m., officers and EMS were dispatched to 36 E. High St. to respond to an underage female who was heavily intoxicated, according to the media report. The individual was taken to the hospital.
At 2:30 a.m., officers responded to an assault report on 25 W. High St., according to the media report. The male was cited and released.
Early that morning, a nurse reported a sexual assault within the city, according to the media report. The filed report was handed over to detectives.
At 2:19 p.m. that same day, officers responded to a report of vandalism at 114 E. Church St., according to the media report. No suspects have been identified at this time.
At 3:16 p.m., a chair was reported stolen from a front porch at approximately 2 a.m., according to the media report. The incident was captured via Ring footage, according to the media report.
