"Paint a Mural Camp" fosters creativity in children

From Aug. 4 to Aug. 8, local artist Joe Prescher taught kids everything about murals. From brainstorming designs and drawing up ideas to working on a big, collective project as a class, Preacher fostered the creative voices of Oxford’s youth and helped his students realize their inner artist.

Throughout the camp, all of the students collected their ideas and designs to work on a massive mural that showcases each and every student’s artistic vision, which will be presented in the Oxford Community Arts Center for years to come.
