OPD responds to 2 harassment reports last week
Two men were also found deceased, one from apparent medical issues and the other from presumed natural causes.
The Oxford Police Department (OPD) responded to two harassment reports between Jan. 12 and 19.
On Jan. 12, just before 8 p.m., officers were dispatched for a harassment report involving Enterprise Rent-A-Car establishments in Oxford and Hamilton, according to the OPD media report. An individual was making death threats online to employees, according to the incident report.
The individual accused told police he did not make the threats and was unaware of what was happening, suggesting someone may have hacked his social media account.
On Jan. 13, just before 7:30 p.m., officers were dispatched for another harassment report involving a different establishment, according to the OPD media report. An employee said she was being harassed and stalked by a coworker, according to the incident report, and officers spoke with individuals familiar with the situation.
Also on Jan. 13, just before 8 p.m., a man was reported missing and later located, according to the OPD media report.
On Jan. 15, just after 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a deer strike on West Chestnut Street, according to the OPD media report.
Also on Jan. 15, just before 6 p.m., officers responded to a dispute in progress at the Kroger Fuel on South Locust Street, according to the OPD media report. No charges were pressed, and one individual involved in the dispute was not located, according to the incident report.
Also during the week, one man was found dead due to an apparent medical issue, and another was pronounced dead from presumed natural causes, according to the OPD media report.
