OPD responded to multiple open container violations, assault reports in the final week of August.

At 4:50 p.m. on Aug. 25, the Oxford Police Department (OPD) received a report from a resident on College Corner Pike claiming that his motorized wheelchair was stolen earlier that day. OPD has identified no suspects, according to the media report.
Shortly after 6 p.m. that same evening, officers were dispatched to a business on S. Locust St. to respond to a male refusing to leave. The male was trespassed from the business, according to the media report.
At 7:45 p.m. that evening, OPD received a report from the house president of Phi Kappa Tau claiming that someone had removed their banner from the front porch sometime in the past several days. There are no suspects at this time, according to the media report.
At 1:12 a.m. on Aug. 26, OPD responded to a dispute on the 100 block of Collins Street and issued summonses to a male, according to the media report.
Around 9:36 a.m., officers met with a parent of a juvenile to report inappropriate behavior against the caller’s child by a Talawanda School District bus driver, according to the media report. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.
Just before 2:45 p.m. on Aug. 26, officers met with a subject who claimed to be the victim of telecommunications harassment, according to the media report. A report was taken but no suspect has been identified.
On Aug. 28 at 12:27 a.m., an officer stopped two males walking along North Poplar Street with an open container of beer, according to the report. Both were found to be under the legal drinking age and resented fake IDs. Both were charged accordingly, according to the media report.
Later that morning around 9:40 a.m., a resident reported being inappropriately touched by an unknown male on the dance floor of a bar.
Just before 11:25 p.m. that night, officers observed a male walking across the McCullough Hyde Hospital parking lot on 110 N. Poplar Street carrying an open container alcoholic beverage. Once the individual saw the officers, he dropped the can and continued to walk until officers stopped the individual and found that he was 20 years old and in possession of a fake ID, according to the media report. He was identified and charged accordingly.
On Aug. 29, just before 12:15 a.m., officers cited a male carrying two open containers of alcohol, according to the media report. The male was given a citation.
That same morning, around 12:22 a.m., a male stated that he was assaulted by a person known to him, according to the report. The male later called to say he no longer wanted police investigation with the matter, according to the media report.
Later that morning, around 9:02 a.m., an officer responded to a report of shoplifting by a juvenile at the Dollar Tree in the Oxford Shopping Center. A report was given and the juvenile was issued a complaint for theft.
A few minutes later, around 9:05 a.m., an officer met with a resident who showed video footage of someone damaging an external security camera, according to the media report.
Just before 7 p.m. on that same day, a male juvenile reported being assaulted by a female juvenile.
Later that night, at around 11:13 p.m., an underaged individual was observed by an officer with an open container Uptown, according to the report.
On Aug. 30, just before 12:30 a.m., officers were dispatched for a female who cut her ankle monitor off and was attempting to leave the city in a white truck, according to the report. Officers were able to locate and stop the vehicle and the female was placed under arrest and transported to the Butler County Jail, according to the department’s media report.
Late that morning, around 4:15 a.m., an individual reported that his debit card was stolen, and money was spent in town and on Cash App.
Just after 9:22 a.m. that morning, officers responded to College Corner Pike for an alleged assault, according to the media report. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.
Just after 1:45 p.m. on the same day, officers met with a citizen regarding possible identity theft, according to the report. A report was taken and no suspects have been identified at this time.
After 10 p.m. that evening, officers stopped a vehicle after running a red light, according to the report. During the traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle was found to have a warrant through the Hamilton Police Department (HPD). The driver was arrested, transported and picked up by HPD officers.
On Aug. 31 just before 5:45 p.m., OPD received a report from a female claiming that there were fraudulent charges on her debit card after she dropped and lost her cards at an Uptown bar..
At 8:24 p.m. that evening, Officers responded to a dispute, according to the report. An informational report was taken for a civil protection order.
On Sept. 1 at around 12:43 a.m., Officers responded to a report of a person passed out on the 100 block of North Beech Street. The individual was transported to the hospital and issued summons.
