The Oxford Police Department (OPD) responded to several intoxication and theft reports between Jan. 26 and Feb. 2.

On Jan. 26, just after 6:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of 1 E. High St. to a report of an unresponsive, intoxicated female, according to the OPD media report. She was transported to McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital and was issued a minor misdemeanor citation.

Also on Jan. 26, just after 9 p.m., OPD, the Oxford Fire Department and EMS responded to a vehicle on fire in the parking lot of Prime Fitness, according to the OPD media report. The vehicle fire was extinguished.

On Jan. 27, just before 12:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to Brick Street Bar for an unconscious female, according to the OPD media report.

Also on Jan. 27, just before midnight, OPD conducted a traffic stop and handed out multiple violations, according to the OPD media report. The driver was intoxicated, and suspected mushrooms were located in the van. The male was cited for OVI and additional traffic violations.

On Jan. 29, just before 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to Brill Drive for a package theft, according to the OPD media report. The suspect was located and charged.

Also on Jan. 29, just before 9 p.m., officers received a theft report for a purse stolen earlier in the week at O’Pub, according to the OPD media report.

On Jan. 30, just after 12:30 a.m., officers conducted a bar check at Brick Street Bar for liquor violations, according to the OPD media report. One male was found to be underage and in possession of a fake ID.

Also during the week, OPD received a report of someone being harassed and stalked by a known person.
