The back door and window to the property were found unlocked, and employees said that the washer and dryer would require more than one person to move them. It also appeared that someone had been occupying the residence without permission, as a Kroger receipt from the day before was found on a table.
On June 19, just before 2 p.m., a man was found trespassing and digging a trench on two properties that did not belong to him, according to the OPD media report. He had also built a dam in the nearby stream, which backed up water flow into several nearby yards, flooding one of them. The man was located and charged.
On June 21, just after midnight, a juvenile was seen killing a deer with a pellet gun near College Corner Pike, according to the OPD media report. The juvenile was gone when officers arrived.
On June 22, just before 8:30 a.m., officers responded to an attempted break-in at Village Green Apartments, according to the department’s report. A resident shouted at the suspect, who tried entering through a bedroom window, and scared them off before they could enter. The suspect was gone when the police arrived.
