Oxford celebrates trails, history at annual Hike-A-Thon
Oxford's Hike-A-Thon celebrated the outdoors and gave visitors a chance to immerse themselves in nature.
Oxford came together Saturday, Sept. 6, to participate in the annual Hike-A-Thon.
From feeding horses and learning about local birds and animals to stretching the city’s legs and experiencing Oxford’s trails and natural flora and fauna, the event celebrated various aspects of Oxford’s outdoors.
The event featured an open door to the DeWitt Log Homestead, which showcased local and state history. A family of reenactors dressed as settlers were present to immerse visitors in the experience and share local history facts and items.
