Oxford hosts first Red Brick Friday this summer
The theme for the first Red Brick Friday was "Beach Staycation: Pirate Invasion."
Oxford's first Red Brick Friday for this summer was Friday, July 18, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The theme was "Beach Staycation: Pirate Invasion," with a number of pirate-themed activities scattered around Oxford Memorial Park.

The event included live music from Parrots of the Caribbean, a local Jimmy Buffett tribute band, water slides and slip n' slides, pirate stilwalkers and characters, balloon artists and more. Also at the event were themed food vendors, local treats and DORA-friendly drinks.
