Oxford kicks off Halloween with 'Howl at the Moon' celebration

The Oxford Community Arts Center (OCAC) is hosting its annual Howl at the Moon celebration from 5-8 p.m. on Oct. 28 at the OCAC west gardens.

OCAC recommends visitors wear their Halloween costumes. There will be a variety of Halloween-themed activities, such as a haunted maze, spooky slots, a witch’s hat ring toss,  pumpkin-chunkin’, an eyeball race and mask-making. balloon show from Silly Willy and a mask making activity.  

A selfie station will be at the event as well, along with a Fair Food Anytime food truck, selling funnel cakes, corn dogs and lemonade. 

The Oxford Lane Library will also have an activity table for children.

From 6-7:30 p.m., younger children will be able to participate in their own trick-or-treat on the third floor of the OCAC with resident artists.

The event is free, and free popcorn and cotton candy will be provided. 

The event is funded in part by the Greater Oxford Community Foundation and the Rotary Club of Oxford.
