Oxford Township in discussions to start fraud protection program

Fiscal Officer Roger Van Frank presented financial reports for the previous month, which led to trustees approving a resolution for permanent appropriations for 2026.

The Oxford Township Board of Trustees held its regular monthly meeting on March 9.

Fiscal Officer Roger Van Frank presented financial reports for the previous month, which led to trustees approving a resolution for permanent appropriations for 2026.

Van Frank is in discussion with First Financial Bank on a fraud protection program.

Road Superintendent Johnny Smith reported that Oxford Township received a sign grant to replace the faded road signs. Smith will be focusing on culvert inspections, but there have been no major culvert issues on Oxford Township roads, according to him. 

Smith hopes to start mowing in April. Ditching is currently in process on Buckley and Oxford Milford roads. 

Police Chief Piccioni reported that for the month ending March 19, the Department received 742 calls for service, eight accidents,and 504 business/vacation calls.

Oxford Township will be hosting the Butler County Township Association dinner and meeting on May 14, 2026. 

The next meeting of the Oxford Township Trustees will be at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 14 at Township Hall. Virtual attendance is possible through the Oxford Township webpage
