Free Press wins one first-place and two second-place awards at Ohio SPJ contest Founding Editor Sean Scott earned first place in the public service and social issues reporting category, second in best feature and shared a second-place award with past intern Stella Powers for shared coverage of Issue 2.
Oxford Free Press wins three awards from statewide journalism competition The Oxford Free Press won three awards, including first place in Public Service / Social Issues Reporting, in the 2025 Ohio’s Best Journalism Contest. Founding Editor Sean Scott brought in the first-place award as well as two second-place awards.
