Citizen of the Year open for nominations
The Oxford Kiwanis Club is looking for nominations for its annual Citizen of the Year Award program.
The two categories for honorees are Citizen of the Year and Citizen of the Years.
The Citizen of the Year Award is presented to those who have contributed to making Oxford’s community a better place to live in the current year. The Citizen of the Years Award honors those whose commitment to community service covers a longer span of time.
Contributions made by honorees to the community must be solely volunteer efforts beyond the duties of employment.
Nominations will be accepted until noon on Wednesday, Dec. 3, and must be dropped off or mailed to the New York Life Insurance Company office at 5995 Fairfield Road, Suite 1, Oxford, Ohio, or emailed to mrudo200@aol.com.
Submissions must include a written background on the nominee, including a list of their contributions to the community, the category for which they’re being nominated and the contact information, including the phone number and email address, of the person nominating them.
Award recipients will be announced in the Jan. 9, 2026, edition of the Oxford Free Press and honored at the Oxford Kiwanis Club luncheon on Feb. 24, 2026, at The Knolls of Oxford. Previous recipients are invited to the selection committee meeting from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 6 at The Knolls of Oxford Clubhouse and must call 513-523-2335 or email mrudo200@aol.com to RSVP.
