Families and children have a blast at the Back to School Bash
With the summer beginning to wind down, local kids had the opportunity to soak up the sun at The Kiwanis Club of Oxford’s annual Back to School Bash on Aug. 16 at the Oxford Aquatic Center and Community Park.
The free event welcomed families and children from the Oxford and Talawanda School District area to stock up on school supplies for the upcoming school year.
This year, a $2,000 grant from the McCullough-Hyde Foundation helped pay for most of the school supplies that were distributed, according to previous reporting by the Oxford Free Press.
Vaccines, haircuts, clothing and family services were also available for attendees, as well as free pizza, snow cones and inflatables for kids.
