Kiwanis accepting donations for Holiday Food Program
The Kiwanis Club of Oxford is asking for donations for its fifth annual Kiwanis Holiday Food Program, in which each dollar and item collected goes to benefit those served by the Talawanda Oxford Pantry and Social Services (TOPSS).
The Holiday Food Program collects both monetary and food donations. Monetary donations to the club are used to purchase grocery gift cards, while local schools and youth groups participate in food drives to collect seasonal foods and staple items to distribute at TOPSS.
Last year, Kiwanis raised over $12,500 in donations, while local youth collected more than 1,700 pounds of food, according to the club. This year’s goal is to raise $13,000.
Anyone wishing to donate may send a check to TOPSS at P.O. Box 391 with “Food Drive” on the memo line or online at topss.org. Donors may also contribute through Venmo to @topsspantry.
