Daniel Dale Hutten Sr., age 82, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Woodland Country Manor Nursing Home. Born on Feb. 18, 1943, in Hamilton, Ohio, he was the beloved son of the late Harry John Hutten Sr. and Hilda (Day) Hutten.
A lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Daniel served on the church council and was deeply committed to his faith and community. He found joy in being a part of the Tri-State Mustang Club and the Classic Thunderbird Club Inc. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his passion for working on cars, including his treasured 1965 Mustang. Daniel also cherished the camaraderie of the Moose Lodge in Middletown. Daniel owned and operated Dan Hutten's Auto Shop in Oxford for many years.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 14 years, Arlene Havens-Hutten; his loving children Kimberly Ann (Scott) Allen, William Eugene Havens, and Sharon K. (Sean) Collins. His legacy will live on through his grandchildren: Colin Daniel Conner, Laura Caroline Conner, Donovan (Shelby) Havens, Jarred (Sky) Havens, Jacob Collins, Kelsey Allen, Connor (Maria) Allen, and Cameron Allen, as well as his great-grandson, Montgomery Havens. Daniel will also be remembered by his brother, Harry J. Hutten Jr., and his sister, Mary Hutten. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille Hutten, and his son, Daniel “Bo” Hutten Jr., who will forever remain in our hearts.
A visitation was held May 22, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday, May 23, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Oxford. He will then be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
