Oxford resident, James “Jim” H. Moore, 92, died peacefully Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the Knolls of Oxford.

The son of Walter and Rosalee Perkins Moore Jim was born in Jellico, Tennessee on June 27, 1932.

Due to the early death of his mother, Jim was raised by his father and stepmother Lilly B. Moore whom he loved dearly. He enlisted in the United States Airforce proudly serving his country for multiple years until he was honorably discharged in 1955. After returning home, Jim married Geraldine on Sept. 25, 1956. He was employed with Bader’s Sheet Metal for thirty-nine years prior to his well-deserved retirement. A God-fearing man, Jim was a devout member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He enjoyed a simple life with his loving wife Geraldine. You could find Jim thoroughly tending to his property and garden, so he was always ready to host the next gathering. Jim adored his friends and family and they will all miss him dearly.

Jim is survived by his children: Mike Moore of Centerville, Gina Cuff and her husband Jeff of Arizona; grandson: James Tyler Moore; brother: Gary Moore; sisters: Mildred, Mary Jane and Jane; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his son: Ron Moore; brothers: Walt Jr., Virgil, Harold; step-brother: Dale; sisters: Shirley, Kathy.
