Obituary: John Gilbert Bradbury
John Gilbert Bradbury, age 83, passed away peacefully on the evening of Nov. 6, 2025, surrounded by love and care at Hospice of Hamilton, Ohio.
John was born on Jan. 21, 1942, in Bethany, Ohio, to the late John H. and Mabel (Ihle) Bradbury.
A proud graduate of Talawanda High School, he continued his education at The Ohio State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in agriculture and, at Michigan State University, a Master of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
John devoted his life to family, community and the land he loved. He spent decades maintaining the family farm, where he raised cattle and developed a lifelong passion for animals. As a veterinarian, he faithfully served the Camden community and surrounding areas for more than 50 years from his home clinic. His gentle nature, steady hands and deep compassion touched the lives of countless families and their beloved pets over the years. John will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic and kind heart – but most of all, for the love he shared with his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Katherine (Ford) Bradbury; children Justin (Tiffany) Bradbury, Jamie (Lori) Bradbury and Sarah (Michael) Marchetti; and seven cherished grandchildren: Bella, Max, Kate, Evie, AJ, Thomas and John. He is also survived by his sister, Beverly (Ed) Tindall.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved son, Jason Bradbury.
