Obituary: Mark Wesley Fitzgerald
Mark Wesley Fitzgerald, age 70 of Oxford, Ohio, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025.
Mark was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Jan. 4, 1955 to Leigh Wayne Fitzgerald Sr. and Jeanne (Burnworth) Fitzgerald.
He married the love of his life, Deborah, on Sept. 28, 1974. Mark worked for the American Fan Company/Clarage Fan for 41 years, starting as a draftsman and working his way to General Manager/Vice President of Sales.
Mark was an avid Michigan fan. He was a competitive athlete who was a five-time marathon runner, a weight-lifter, a basketball, a softball player, a fisherman and a semi-pro football player for Kalamazoo All-Stars. He also participated in community theater and volunteered at Open Hands Pantry.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Deborah; his sons, Wesley (Jennifer) and Cody (Michelle); his grandchildren, Reace, Camden, Reagan, Morgan, Molly, Jessa and Jarret; his great grandchildren, Colson and Caleb; his brother, Wayne (Nikki) and his sister, Sueann; special friends, Iven, Jon and Terry; and many other close relatives and friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kathleen.
