The Oxford Police Department (OPD) handled a variety of intoxication reports, thefts and bar fights over a busy weekend in Oxford.

On Oct. 27 at 1:09 p.m., a package at an apartment complex was reported stolen. The suspect was captured via CCTV, according to the media report.

At 1:28 p.m., an online theft report for a bike was taken by Oxford Police Department (OPD) officers, according to the media report.

At 4:21 p.m., officers were dispatched for a welfare check on a possibly unresponsive male, who was found to be intoxicated, according to the media report. He was transported to McCullough-Hyde Hospital and issued citations for liquor offenses. 

At 4:22 p.m., a caller reported that an unknown male attempted to force his way into a roommate’s residential unit during the early morning hours, according to the media report.

On Oct. 29 at 10:05 a.m., a report was made of suspicious activity on an individual’s cell phone, according to the media report.

At 10:54 a.m. a delivered package was reported to have been stolen from the common area of a residence, according to the media report.

At 11:40 a.m., an officer spoke to an individual who claimed someone was stealing money from him online, according to the media report.

At 1:36 p.m., a male came into the OPD to report that his DSLR camera was stolen and listed for sale on Facebook, according to the media report. The thief was arrested and charged.

On Oct. 30 at 1:09 p.m., animal control euthanized a severely injured deer, according to the media report.

At 11:52 p.m., two unknown males attempted to gain access to an occupied Uber vehicle. The driver then pepper sprayed them, according to the media report.

On Oct. 31 at 4:26 p.m., officers responded to a custody exchange issue, according to the media report.

On Nov. 1 at 1:46 a.m., officers responded to a domestic violence call. Upon arrival, the officers took a suspect into custody and transported him to the Butler County Jail, according to the media report.

At 1:48 a.m., a female inside The Woods Bar was hit in the head by an unknown object thrown on the dance floor, causing her head to bleed, according to the media report.

At 2:28 a.m., a male was observed standing on the sidewalk with an open container and was also found to be underage, according to the media report. He was cited and released.

At 3:03 a.m., OPD and EMS were dispatched for a male passed out at the wheel in the drive-through at McDonald’s, according to the media report. After getting the car unlocked, the male was taken out of the car, evaluated by EMS, and found to be under the influence of alcohol. 

At 10:10 a.m., a cellphone was reported as either lost or stolen from an Uptown location, according to the media report. The phone was later found in a neighboring city. 

At 11:16 p.m., a male suspect fled police during a pedestrian stop, according to the media report. After a short foot pursuit, the male was placed into custody and found to be underage.

On Nov. 2 at 12:10 a.m., an unconscious male lying in an alley was reported to police. According to the media report, he was found to be under the influence and was transported to the hospital.

At 1:41 a.m., officers were dispatched for an intoxicated female who was unable to care for herself, according to the media report. She was transported to the hospital and cited.

At 1:52 a.m., officers were dispatched for a fight. An investigation is ongoing, according to the media report.

At 2:47 a.m., officers were approached by a male that stated he had been punched by an unknown subject outside a bar, according to the media report.

At 6:55 a.m., officers responded to a report of an unwanted person, according to the media report. One male was ultimately charged with underage liquor offenses. 

At 11:26 a.m., an individual filed a report online in which she had lost her wallet somewhere in the Uptown area, according to the media report. The individual also noted that several charges were made on the stolen card.
