Oxford celebrates Talawanda Homecoming
Talawanda High School and the Oxford community came together on Sept. 17 for the school’s annual homecoming parade. Parents and community members lined High Street as the parade wound its way into the uptown area.
The Talawanda Marching Band led the way, followed by members of the high school’s homecoming court and athletes, cheerleaders, coaches and various student groups. Middle and elementary school students were also part of the activity.
The parade came the day before the homecoming football game, as the Brave continued its undefeated season, beating Dayton Carroll 42-0. The Brave will look to make its sixth straight win on Friday, Sept. 25, as they travel to Ross High School to take on the Rams.
