Oxford gets its groove on for Electric Root festival
Dance groups, singers and others performed at this year’s festival.
Held May 2 in Uptown Parks, this year marks the festival’s fifth anniversary.
From dance groups and singers to a living statue, Oxford’s Electric Root festival attendees had the opportunity to sit back and enjoy the show, or join in the dance party.
Between sets and during performances, visitors had the opportunity to learn about crochet or write down their wishes to hang on the “Wishing Tree.” Miami University students in art education helped guests make arts and crafts at tables set up for the event, while local vendors displayed and sold their own creations.
