Oxford Township appoints new members, officers in first meeting of 2026
The Oxford Township Board of Trustees held its first regular monthly meeting of 2026 on Jan. 12.

The Oxford Township Board of Trustees held its first regular monthly meeting of 2026 on Jan. 12.
The meeting began with the election of officers for the year, including:
- Gary Salmon, President
- Kate Rousmaniere, Vice-President
Committee appointments for 2026 are as follows:
- Roads – Salmon and Trustee Tom Cooke
- Police – Salmon and Rousmaniere
- CIC – Cooke
- Finance – Salmon and Roger VanFrank (Fiscal Officer)

The trustees approved Van Frank’s monthly financial reports for the month of December 2025.
The trustees approved a resolution adopting a cybersecurity policy and a policy about holding meetings by video conference.
Road Superintendent Johnny Smith reported the salt supply is just under 239 tons and all signs from the sign grant have been delivered. Smith is ordering supplies for the year in the next month.
Police Chief Patrick Piccioni reported department activity in the past month included 564 calls, consisting of 360 vacation checks and three accident calls. Officers took 16 reports, made 94 traffic stops, issued 13 citations and responded to 12 calls for assistance from neighboring police departments.
