Road Superintendent Johnny Smith reported that a city crew would soon make road repairs related to water main breaks in the Springwood subdivision, and he intends to do some pothole patching. His first round of mowing is concluding, and he expects to make repairs to a berm on Ringwood Road. He also expects that with help from the County Engineer's Office and the Ohio Department of Transportation, downed trees leaning on overhead wires on Morning Sun Road will be removed.

Firearm qualification with the recently purchased handguns for all department personnel is scheduled for May 24 and May 31. Chief Piccioni introduced Jeremy Broadwater, a recently hired constable.
