Butler County voters reelected Republican incumbent Nancy Nix as county auditor during the Nov. 3 general election. She will serve another term as the county’s chief fiscal officer, overseeing property value assessments and tax calculations.
Nix received 58.98% of the vote, beating Democrat candidate Amy Hines, who received only 41.02%, as of press time on Nov. 4.
Nix’s platform focuses on keeping budgets low and advocating for lower property taxes. During her upcoming term, she hopes to keep the office up to date on auditing technologies and continue working with Ohio lawmakers to keep taxes as low as possible.
“I’m very thankful to Butler County voters for putting their trust in me, and we really strive to provide transparency and honesty in the auditor's office and put service first, so I’m very grateful,” Nix said.
