Mark William Jeanmougin, age 48, of Oxford, Ohio, passed away at home on April 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. 

He was born on Dec. 16, 1977, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Paul and Zita Jeanmougin.

Mark was a proud graduate of St. Xavier High School and later earned his computer engineering degree from the University of Dayton. He built a successful career as a computer engineer with Siemens and also served as an instructor with SANS Institute, where he shared his knowledge and passion for information security with countless students.

Mark lived life with enthusiasm and warmth. He had a deep love for Formula 1 racing, took pride in his BMW and cherished his Misfit Kitties. Known for his vibrant spirit, Mark never met a stranger and was a friend and mentor to all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Caitlin Erin Jeanmougin; his parents, Paul and Zita Jeanmougin; his siblings, Paul (April) Jeanmougin, Ann (Mark) Poynter and Linda Jeanmougin; six nieces and nephews and their spouses; four great-nieces and great-nephews; and his eight adored rescue cats.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, many aunts and uncles and five beloved cats.

Ever the teacher, Mark made the generous decision to donate his body to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine so that students may continue to learn from him.
