Obituary: Sandra Faye (Riley) Smith

Sandra Faye (Riley) Smith, age 78 of Irons, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at her home. She was born on Oct. 20, 1947, in Richmond, Indiana.

Sandra married Gary Lee Smith on Oct. 21, 1999, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He survives.

Sandra owned and operated a restaurant and worked as a waitress. She was a member of the

Oxford Southern Baptist Church, and a life member of the Eagles, VFW, Moose, American Legion and Elks. She enjoyed bowling, traveling to Las Vegas and Hawaii every year and making many friends along the way. She also loved going to the casino and her witches Wednesday group.

Surviving is her husband, Gary Smith, mother, Iona M. Caudill, daughter, Tina (Matt) Gamble, step daughter, Tammie (Diane) Smith, step son, Denny (Rebecca) Smith, seven grandchildren, David (Caitlin) Green, Hunter (Taylor) Gamble, Garrett Gamble and Ella Pierce, Kailyn (David) Smith, Alex and Andrew Hughes, three great grandchildren, Liam Towne, Jason and Louise Faye Green, three brothers, Tim Caudill, Mike Caudill and Josh Caudill, four sisters, Karen (John) Rigling, Brenda Graf, Nancy Abrams and Patricia (Mike) Sabisch. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Henderson Caudill, son, Jason Green, daughter, Lisa Fisher, stepdaughter, Debbie Hughes and sister, Leslie Caudill.
