Obituary: Teri Wickham
In Teri’s honor, plant something beautiful, take a hike, listen to great music and enjoy a sweet treat.
Teri Wickham passed away peacefully at her home just outside Oxford after a courageous battle with ALS, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Teri spent nearly 50 years in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where she became known for her extraordinary gardens, love of hummingbirds and appreciation for the beauty of the natural world. An avid hiker, devoted conservationist and passionate advocate for women’s rights, she brought energy and purpose to everything she did, including her work with Three Valley Conservation Trust.
In addition to the great outdoors, Teri loved music, Panera frosted cookies and her nightly viewing of “Wheel of Fortune” and especially “Jeopardy!” Above all, she cherished the people she loved and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, conviction and joy.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Rory; sister, Gayle (Gary); son, William (Sunshil); daughter, Nataly (Kasey); granddaughters Autumn, McKenzy and Brooke, as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins and beyond who all loved Teri immensely.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Three Valley Conservation Trust or ALS United Ohio.
A celebration of life will be held at the family home on Sunday June 14 at 3 p.m.
In Teri’s honor, plant something beautiful, take a hike, listen to great music and enjoy a sweet treat.
