The Oxford Police Department (OPD) responded to several alcohol offenses and theft reports between Sept. 21 and 28.

On Sept. 22, just before 4:30 p.m., a resident at Fox and Hounds Apartments reported a package theft, according to the OPD media report.

On Sept. 22, just after 4:30 p.m., a male reported theft after losing his debit card and discovering approximately $500 worth of charges on it, according to the OPD media report.

On Sept. 22, just before 5 p.m., a female reported a Nintendo Switch game system was missing from inside her apartment in the 800 block of South Elm Street, according to the OPD media report.

On Sept. 24, just after 4:30 p.m., officers met with two occupants of next-door houses in the 100 block of East Sycamore Street about two subjects entering each house the night before and consuming groceries and other items, according to the OPD media report.

From Sept. 25-26, nine separate individuals were charged with alcohol-related offenses, including underage consumption of alcohol or open container violations, according to the OPD media report. Of these individuals, two also had fictitious identification, and one was arrested for “physical control of a motor vehicle” while under the influence, according to an incident report.

On Sept. 25, just after 2 a.m., a female reported possible misconduct that occurred in the uptown area, according to the OPD media report.

During the week, OPD also responded to several harassment reports and a damaged grease tank.
