OPD responds to assaults, burglary report
The Oxford Police Department also received theft and fraudulent activity reports.
The Oxford Police Department (OPD) responded to various incidents, including two assaults and a burglary report, between July 13 and 20.
On July 13, just before 2 a.m., a male left Speedway without paying for merchandise, according to the OPD media report. A report was taken.
On July 14, just before 10 p.m., officers responded to Buffalo Wild Wings for a dispute between two customers, according to the OPD media report. Two individuals were charged with assault and removed from the property.
On July 16, just after 10 a.m., an employee at Miami University and Community Federal Credit Union reported suspicious and fraudulent activity on a client’s account, according to the OPD media report. The investigation is ongoing, according to the incident report.
On July 17, just before 7 p.m., a male was arrested for assault after an altercation with his co-worker, according to the OPD media report. The co-worker wished to press charges, so a court date was set and the male was released on his own recognizance, according to the incident report.
On July 18, just before 12:30 p.m., officers responded to a house in the 300 block of West Church Street for a burglary report, according to the OPD media report. A report was taken, and no suspects were identified at the time.
Also during the week, OPD found two individuals with active warrants, one through a neighboring agency and the other through the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
