OPD responds to theft, arrests male on several charges during slow week
The Oxford Police Department also responded to a possible burglary.
The Oxford Police Department (OPD) responded to various incidents and arrested a man on several charges between July 6 and 13.
On July 6, just before 10 a.m., a construction vehicle was found crashed and unoccupied after it was left at the job site the previous day, according to the OPD media report. The owner was notified, and the investigation was ongoing as of July 6.
On July 7, just after 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a house in the 0 block of West Vine Street for a possible burglary, according to the OPD media report. Officers spoke with one of the tenants, who reported two televisions were missing. There were no suspects at the time of the report.
On July 8, at 9 p.m., a caller requested a report for their bank to combat possible fraudulent charges to their account, according to the OPD media report.
On July 10, just before 11 p.m., a female was found highly intoxicated and was transported to the hospital, according to the OPD media report. She was cited for disorderly conduct and for possession of a fictitious identification.
On July 11, at 8 p.m, a male was arrested on several charges, including theft of a motor vehicle, assault and obstructing official business, according to the OPD media report. He was taken to Butler County Jail.
