OPD responds to various crimes, suspected drug possession
The Oxford Police Department also received a report of a stolen Nintendo Switch 2.
The Oxford Police Department (OPD) responded to various incidents, including theft and potential drug possession, between Aug. 10 and 17.
On Aug. 10, just before 3:30 p.m., two individuals were found to have active warrants through nearby agencies during a traffic stop, according to the OPD media report. The two were arrested and transferred to the respective agencies.
On Aug. 11, just after 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 5000 block of College Corner Pike for a female asleep in a vehicle, according to the OPD media report. Officers made contact with and identified the female upon arrival, and found what they suspected to be drugs and paraphernalia in the vehicle. She was transported to McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital for evaluation, and charges will potentially be filed based on the lab results of the items.
On Aug. 15, just after 12:30 a.m., a female reported her Nintendo Switch 2 was stolen from an apartment in the 1500 block of Dogwood Drive, according to the OPD media report.
Also during the week, OPD completed a welfare check and received a report about a potential protection order violation.
