Oxford Mayor Mike Smith proclaimed Sept. 18-26, 2026, as the U.S. – Ukraine Friendship and Partnership Week.

The delegation from Dubno, Ukraine, Oxford’s sister city, will spend Sept. 18-26 in Ohio, cultivating the long-term relationship between the two cities.

“I encourage the people of Oxford to embrace the opportunities this partnership creates for cultural understanding, civic exchange, cooperation and lasting friendship,” Smith said.

The City of Oxford will fly a new commemorative flag during the OXtoberfest on Saturday, Sept. 19, in celebration of the Dubno delegation’s visit.

The Oxford City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 6 at the Oxford Courthouse, 118 W. High St.
