OPD responds to theft, property damage reports during the final week of the spring semester

The Oxford Police Department (OPD) dealt with multiple theft, property damage and assault reports during the last week of Miami University’s spring semester, May 11-18.
On May 11, just before 12:30 p.m., officers fielded a call of a reported assault at 319 E. Vine St., the Sigma Phi Epsilon Annex House, according to the OPD media report. The investigation is ongoing.
On May 11 at 2:42 p.m., an individual reported that someone had keyed his vehicle and thrown eggs at his residence, according to the OPD media report.
On May 12 at 9:51 a.m., an individual reported his watch stolen, according to the OPD media report.
On May 12 at 7:27 p.m., a package was reported stolen from a property on the 600 block of South College Avenue, according to the OPD media report.
On May 13 at 11:17 a.m., an unknown individual reportedly threw a rock through the window of a property in the 200 block of South Main Street, according to the OPD media report.
On May 15 at 12:30 a.m., an individual was taken to the McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital by the Oxford Fire Department after being observed hitting his head on the ground, according to the OPD media report.
On May 15 at 4:08 a.m., an unknown individual assaulted an employee of an establishment on East Park Place, according to the OPD media report. Video evidence was collected.
On May 16 at around 4 a.m., a male entered an apartment on the 200 block of Main Street without permission and assaulted another male inside, according to the OPD media report.
On May 16 at 2:15 p.m., a female was arrested for a warrant out of a different jurisdiction, according to the OPD media report.
On May 16 at around 6:45 p.m., officers reported to the 600 block of South Locust Street for a report of a bullet hole inside a residence, according to the OPD media report. The suspect was identified and charged.
On May 17 at 1:58 a.m., a male reported his cellphone stolen by a group of males after an altercation at an establishment on East High Street, according to the OPD media report.
On May 17 at 7:16 a.m., an unknown individual damaged the little library at the TRI Community Park, according to the OPD media report. This case is under investigation.
On May 17 at 7:30 p.m., a theft occurred in the 100 block of West Walnut Street, according to the OPD media report.
