OPD responds to theft reports, various incidents during slow week

The Oxford Police Department (OPD) responded to various incidents, including theft, between April 27 and May 4.
On April 27, just after 5:30 p.m., officers received complaints of juveniles driving a non-street-legal golf cart on Emerald Woods Drive, according to the OPD media report.
On April 29, just after 11:30 a.m., officers met with someone about items stolen from his truck while it was parked on High Street in front of Chase Bank, according to the OPD media report. Only small items of little value were taken.
On April 30, just before 10:30 p.m., someone reported an unknown person threw a small bottle of liquor through her bedroom window in the 0 block of East Central Avenue, according to the OPD media report.
On May 1, just before 7 p.m., a female attendant at Oxford Pit Stop was charged with selling nicotine products to an underage person, according to the OPD media report.
On May 1, just before 8:30 p.m., a male took a bag of peanuts on the way out of Red Ox Drive-Thru, according to the OPD media report. There are no suspects as of press time on May 6.
On May 2, just after 2 p.m., a female was observed jaywalking at the intersection of South College Avenue and West Spring Street, according to the OPD media report. She was stopped and found to be underage and in possession of alcoholic beverages.
On May 3, just before 2 a.m., a male was charged after he began to strip his clothes off and make a scene in the Uptown area, according to the OPD media report.
Also during the week, OPD responded to a disturbance at Red Cloud Court, conducted a compliance check of the Oxford Tobacco Retail Licensing program at Circle K and arrested a female with a probation warrant.
